I am deploying Windows XP, Server 2003 for training in the Army and we will be moving to Server 2008 and Vista or Windows 7 soon. I got all images working except 7. I had the same problems you did. This seems to be the answer allright. Could install 2 types of different Windows versions to the computer without any problems after loading a different boot image on the WDS server.

And that after searching quite some time on the internet en testing and tweaking and testing again my WDS server.</description>
